20,000 visitors attend the National Running Show


Nearly 20,000 visitors attended the National Running Show at the Birmingham NEC on January 22 and 23.

Raccoon Events organizers say they have received “incredible feedback from visitors, exhibitors, partners and speakers”.

Event Director Nathalie Davies said: “It was fantastic to see so many runners coming together to enjoy such an incredible roster of speakers, top brand exhibitors and a brilliant variety of features. . Thank you to everyone who came to the show and wherever you are on your running journey, we hope you went home informed and inspired. We look forward to seeing you again at Run Show South at Farnborough International in May 2022.”

The first day of the event, in partnership with Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, was opened by Lord Sebastian Coe and Scott Jurek. Jonnie Peacock MBE opening day two.

Peacock said: “To see so many runners coming together was amazing. The event showcased some of the greatest talent in the racing world and provided unprecedented access to industry experts to help runners of all skill levels improve. It was a pleasure to be part of the show and I encourage everyone to come to Farnborough in May for the next event.

Visitors also heard racing heroes including Kadeena Cox, Derek Redmond, Jenni Falconer, Carla Molinaro, Damian Hall and Sean Conway speak on the show’s three stages.

The next episode of the National Running Show portfolio will take place at Farnborough International on May 7-8, 2022. speakers include Paula Radcliffe, Steve Cram, Shakira Akabusi and Lazarus Lake.
