Area Golf: Reichert takes the lead – Brainerd Dispatch

EAST GULL LAKE — Reichert Bus took first place on Thursday, June 9 to take a four-point lead in the men’s league standings at Cragun’s Legacy courses.

Reichert leads Brainerd Eye with only two weeks remaining. Brainerd Eye has a four-point lead over third-placed Edward Jones. Giovanni’s Pizza slipped to fourth place and 11 points behind Reichert.

Cody Mager and Ryan Neitzke shot the low yielding rounds. Paul Means and Scott Antolak made it through the low net rounds.

Tyler Holbrook and Gary Lippo were the closest winners and Jeremy Horn and Jason Bassett had the longest putts.

EAST GULL LAKE— Theresa Proctor made the longest putt on Tuesday, June 7 to win the nearfield championship on women’s night at Cragun’s Legacy Courses.

Jan Sheets was closest to the pin at the next hole.

On the Par 3 course, Heidi Brown was closest to the flag and Lyn Carner made the longest putt.

PEQUOT LAKES — Tom Boyce and Arlen Stensby placed first for the first flight on Tuesday, June 7 for the Whitefish men’s league two-man Stableford event.

Dan Hanson and Jack Heidman placed second followed by Ron Meyer and Al Falconer in third.

Ron Kitzmann and Chuck Hicks won the second flight tag team title. Terry Stansfield and Larry Swanson finished second and Jim McKeehen and Richard Hansen third.

Don Faust and Falconer were the closest pin winners and Heidman and Ron Fillmore made the longest putts.

PEQUOT LAKES — Nancy McEnroe, Myra Faust, Joan Kantos and Marguerite Baker made up the winning team of the Wednesday, June 8 competition, low gross and top two nets for the Whitefish 18-hole women’s league.

Second place went to Lori McCormick, Kathy Coombs, Nancy Schmidt and Sandy Meyer.

Sue Seher, Nancy Einan, Paula Gulliford and Betsy Otteson finished third.

Gulliford, Barb Hanson, Coombs, Roxanne Thompson, Cathy Munger, McEnroe and Julie Hofstedt each had birdies. Luann Rickert shot the low net for the group.
