The Widnes-based developer has acquired a site on Scotland Street with the consent of Greg Malouf’s 612 Flats from Bevington Developments.
Newry Construction has started work on the £100million Liverpool project, known as Westminster Park, with the first phase due to be completed in January 2023.
The development, designed by Falconer Chester Hall, will feature a mix of one and two bedroom apartments spread over three blocks of nine to 17 floors.
A vision for the site was first proposed in 2016. Bevington Developments, led by Romal Capital managing director Malouf, secured consent for over 1,000 student apartments.
However, the following year the plans were reworked and the student apartments were abandoned in favor of traditional apartments.
Sourced completed the acquisition of the site in February.
“I am delighted to announce the acquisition of Westminster Park,” said Joanne Waller, Managing Director of Sourced Development.
“We are grateful to Liverpool City Council and our professional team for bringing this exciting new site to life. With a bold design and modern architecture, this site will further enhance the gateway to the city of Liverpool.
Westminster Park is a key part of Sourced’s plans to deliver 1,600 homes in the North West over the next three years.
The company’s other projects include the 392-unit Kingsway Square in Liverpool and the 525-unit Regent Plaza.
