MAYVILLE — Behind a balanced offense that included 11 3-point goals, Jamestown earned a 68-43 victory in non-league women’s basketball over Lake Chautauqua on Wednesday night.
Marley Drake scored five 3-point goals on the way to 15 points, Kyle O’Brien scored 13, Alyson Canfield scored 11, Mickia Freeney scored 10 and Saydee Johnson added 8 for the Red Raiders (9 -6), who hit their first four shots of the game, including back-to-back treys.
“That kind of set the tone,” Thunderbirds coach Bill Persons said.
Jamestown led 40-20 at halftime and increased the margin to 57-27 after three quarters.
Lily Woodis led Chautauqua Lake (4-9) with 10 points, six rebounds, four assists, four steals and three blocks; Mercedez Obert added 9 points; and Taylor Donato provided five assists.

FORESTVILLE – Haleigh Dellow had a career night to lead Westfield/Brocton to a 75-20 non-league victory over Forestville.
How good was it?
She almost made a quintuple-double.
In total, Dellow scored 19 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, blocked 10 shots and had 12 steals to go along with nine assists.
Tanleigh Bestine scored a game-high 25 points, Makartnee Mortimer had 12 and Keara Kincaid had 9 for the winners (4-11).
The Wolverines took a 41-14 lead at halftime.
Morgan Becker had 7 points to lead the Hornets.
